In March I broke down and bought so many books, 45 to be exact. I was trying not to buy books until I had read 50 books. Then BookOutlet was having a sale plus free shipping and I couldn’t resist. I now probably have 200 books that are unread on my shelves. Gulp. One day I will read them all, one day. After this I think I am going to have to go on a book buying ban.

I didn’t actually buy any books in January, these are the books that I purchased from BookOutlet for the Boxing Day sale but I didn’t receive them until January and since I am not purchasing books for a while I figured I would wait to haul them until now. I was on BookOutlet strolling through my wish-list, not looking to buy anything right away but just planning on what I wanted to get for the Boxing Day Sale and I noticed they had Winter by Marissa Meyer in-stock. Last time I waited to get Winter just before a sale on BookOutlet and they ended up being sold out by that time. So, I didn’t want a repeat of that happening and so I made an order.

Winter by Marissa Meyer

Winter is the fourth and final book in the Lunar Chronicles and I love this series. They are entertaining and have such wonderful characters. The Lunar Chronicles are retellings of fairy tales, Winter being a retelling of Snow White. I can’t wait to start reading Winter and see how the book ends. Continue reading “December Book Haul” →

Black Friday Book Haul

Prepare yourself for another long Book Haul. BookOutlet was having a 30% off sale for Black Friday and I couldn’t help myself and bought 21. I pretty much just went on my Goodreads account and went to my “want to read” shelf and searched for them on BookOutlet and if they had it, I would add the book to my cart.

Delirium Series

This series has been on my want to read shelf since March 2012 and I still need the first book in the series which means I won’t be getting to these just yet. Pandemonium, Requiem and delirium stories are part of the Delirium series. This series is about a dystopian society where love is said to be a disease and you are cured from ever experiencing love. By curing love you will now be safe and happy

October Book Haul

I thought I bought a lot of books last month but in October I bought twice as much. I went book buying crazy and I have no regrets. I picked up all this book from BookOutlet so, I didn’t spend too much money. Well let’s just get into the Book Haul.

October Book Haul

I picked up some Puffin Classic children books, A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum, The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett and Black Beauty by Anna Sewell. I am sure we are all familiar with these stories as they are well-known classics and have been made into movies. I have never read any of these books but I have watched each of their movie adaptations. I want to start reading more classics and hopefully will reach for these soon. I was trying not to buy that many books this month but I did end up buying 12 books. Oops. What’s a girl to do when there are so many great books out there that I just feel like I should own them all. Although I really have no where to put them all.
