I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend, I am back with another unboxing, this one is the February PageHabit. Each month I purchase the History box with a mystery add on. These are my favourite genres and I love getting this box every month.
If you aren’t familiar with this company, PageHabit is an awesome monthly book subscription service. I just love this book box and highly recommend it.
Reasons why I love this subscription service:
- Annotated by the author
- Variety of genres to choose from
- You can add a book from a different genre to your order
- They donate to literary charities for each box and also when you share a pic through social media
- Note from author
- Great selection of bookish goodies
Song of a Captive Bird by Jasmin Darznik is this months history book pick for February. This is Jazmin Daznik’s debut novel, although, she has previously written a memoir. It is about Forugh Farrkhzad, she was an Iranian poet during the 1950’s. Living in Tehran she is told she is to be quiet, modest and obedient. When she is forced into a suffocating marriage she runs away to find independence, inspiration to write, and fall in love.
February mystery pick was The Glass Forest by Cynthia Swanson I’m really excited for this one because I really liked her book, The Bookseller. This sound like it will be an atmospheric read about secrets and betrayal. And I Can’t wait to read.
This months bookish goodies were a toque that says bookworm and sticky notes that are packaged as matchsticks. As usual a bookmark, short story and a letter from the author were included.
For February PageHabit partnered with books for Africa and donated books to Ethiopia. Because of this donation Books for Africa was able to give thousands of books to Borena Girls Dream Project.
I hope you liked this post and thanks for stopping by. 🙂
