Yesterday was my birthday and I am officially 30 years old/young! To celebrate this milestone I thought it would be fun to do the Birthday Book Tag.
1. Count your Birthday along your bookshelf and then subtract your birthday month.
I landed on The Outcast by Sadie Jones and I have read this book around the time it was released back in 2008 and loved it. It is one of my favourite books of all time. I have been wanting to re-read this book and now I think I might sooner rather than later.
2. If you could spend your birthday with any fictional character who would it be and why?
This was a tough one to answer but I think I am going to go with Gemma Doyle from A Great and Terrible Beauty. I would spend my day with her because she is a good friend and she would be able to take me to the other world and share her magic with me. I think it would be fun times.
3. Find a book that takes place in the same season you were born in.
I went with the obvious choice here and picked a Morgan Matson book, Second Chance Summer. How could I not pick this book it has summer in the title. I have yet to read this book but it is on my Summer TBR.
4. Find a book that is the colour of your Birthstone.
Ruby is the birthstone for July and so again, I went with the obvious choice, Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier. I have read Ruby Red and really enjoyed it and I have been meaning to continue on with the trilogy.
5. Pick a book set in a time period, World, or Country you would like to have been born in.
For this I am going with The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald because I would love to have been born in the 1920’s or maybe not born in exactly but to have lived during. And that way I could have been a flapper in the Jazz age. I just think it would be lovely.
Well, that’s it for this tag. Does anyone else have a birthday coming up? If so you should do this post to and leave a link in the comments below so I can read your post. 🙂
