Welcome to my May TBR,

After browsing my bookshelves these are the 6 books that I most want to read this month.

King Arthur and His Knights of The Round Table by Roger Lancelyn Green

May TBR I have been reading children’s classic every month lately and decided to continue on that route and also that King Arthur movie comes out this month. I am going to see that movie because I have a crush on Charlie Hunnam and will see any movie he is in. I figured I might as well read the book as well this month.

The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena

May TBRI love a good thriller and this one sounds soo good and have been wanting to read it since I bought it in December. May will be the month that I finish this book. I think I will fly through this book because it is a thriller, is only 300 pages and the font is fairly big.

The Couple Next Door is about this couple Anne and Marco Conti who attend a dinner party with the couple next door and leaves their baby at home thinking it wouldn’t be a big deal but when they arrive home for the night they find their baby missing.

Heartless by Marissa Meyer

May TBRI loved the Lunar Chronicles and after finishing that series in January I have been meaning to pick up this one but it just kept getting pushed back but this will be the month.

Heartless is a book about the Queen of Hearts from Alice and Wonderland and it tells her story on how she became the Queen of Hearts. I am interested to see what Marissa Meyer does with this retelling. I loved what she did with the re-tellings in the Lunar Chronicles so I have high expectations going into Heartless.

The Map of Chaos by Felix J. Palma

May TBRI am so happy that I found this book on BookOutlet recently because I loved The Map of Time and The Map of the Sky and I can’t wait to read this last book in the trilogy.

The Map of Chaos is about the author H.G Wells and he gets tied up into these crazy events that are reminiscent of his books. In The Map of Time it has elements of his The War of the Worlds book and in The Map of the Sky has elements of The Time Machine. I am not to sure what book of his that The Map of Chaos will focus on but I am so excited to read it and highly recommend reading this series.

The Borgia Mistress by Sara Poole

May TBRThe Borgia Mistress is the third book in the Poisoner Mysteries and have had this book for awhile now and have been meaning to read. It would be nice to finish off two series this month

This is about Franchesc Giordano who is the court poisoner to the Borgias. In the first book her father is murdered and she wishes to avenge him and in doing so she becomes tied up in the intrigue of the Borigia family.

Glow by Jessica Maria Tuccelli

May TBRIf I do manage to read those other five book then I will pick up Glow by Jessica Maria Tuccelli. I just love the cover of this book and I am a fan of The Help and am in the mood to read something similar.

Glow is an epic historical fiction told from five perspectives and spans through generations. It deals with themes of race, identity and bonds of family and communities. Sounds so good and excited to read it this month.

That is it for my May TBR and I hope you enjoyed reading.

  1. I haven’t heard of any of these book except Heartless, but they sound really interesting. I’ve never heard of an “epic historical fiction” so that really intrigues me. Hopefully you got through as many books from your May TBR this month!
