Quarterly Literary Unboxing

Quarterly Literary Unboxing

I always enjoy watching book subscription unboxing videos on YouTube but I never had much desire to subscribe to a monthly book box myself. I am Canadian and I didn’t think that after the conversion of the dollar from USD to CDN plus shipping costs would be worth it. I would rather spend that money on buying several books that I know what I am getting and don’t feel the need for all that bookish goodies. That changed when I watched some quarterly unboxing videos and decided I would try it out and see how I liked it.

Quarterly Co. Literary Box

Quarterly Subscription box is not a monthly subscription but like the name suggest it is quarterly. They have several different types of boxes like food, fitness, DIY and of course books. They offer two types of book boxes fiction and YA fiction. I debated for a while on what box I was going to get because I like adult and ya fiction but in the end I opted for the fiction box. April Book Haul

April Book Haul

It’s the end of May and this should have been posted at the beginning of the month but I guess better late than never. I shouldn’t even have bought books in April since I bought so many in March. Check out my March Book Haul if you missed it. At least I didn’t go over board, I only acquired seven books. Two books I wasn’t expecting to receive until May but my pre-order came early which was exciting. I also received one book as a gift from my niece.

A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas

When I came home from work one day this package was waiting for me at my door and when I opened it was ACOWAR and King’s Cage. I was super excited to get my hands on this early even though I still have yet to read it.

I pre-ordered this book back in January and then in April I was looking on Chapters again and noticed that they had this exclusive Indigo edition with fan art on the end pages. So I had to get that edition instead and cancelled my first order and ended up getting this exclusive edition for cheaper than if I had order the other copy.

May TBR

May TBR

Welcome to my May TBR,

After browsing my bookshelves these are the 6 books that I most want to read this month.

King Arthur and His Knights of The Round Table by Roger Lancelyn Green

May TBR I have been reading children’s classic every month lately and decided to continue on that route and also that King Arthur movie comes out this month. I am going to see that movie because I have a crush on Charlie Hunnam and will see any movie he is in. I figured I might as well read the book as well this month.

The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena

May TBRI love a good thriller and this one sounds soo good and have been wanting to read it since I bought it in December. May will be the month that I finish this book. I think I will fly through this book because it is a thriller, is only 300 pages and the font is fairly big.

The Couple Next Door is about this couple Anne and Marco Conti who attend a dinner party with the couple next door and leaves their baby at home thinking it wouldn’t be a big deal but when they arrive home for the night they find their baby missing. Continue reading “May TBR”
