Book Outlet Book Haul
Book Outlet was having a 15% off sale for mother’s day. Obviously, I needed to take advantage of that and I ended up buying 14 books. Let me introduce you to my new books;
Also, would like to mention that I have linked the book titles to goodreads if you would like to find out more and I have also linked a purchase button if you wish to check out the pricing or wish to purchase.
I was expecting a different cover, have to say am disappointed that I received this copy because the other cover is much better. Oh well, just have to suffer, I guess it’s all the same on the inside.

Alice Hoffman is a great writer, love her books and when I came across this on book outlet it was an automatic buy.

I picked up 4 books by Ellen Hopkins another author I quite like. I bought Burned, Smoke, Rumble and Collateral.
The Burned series consits of Burned and Smoke and main character Pattyn is raised in a religious and abusive family. When her father catches her in a compromising position and is sent to live with her aunt in Nevada
When Matthew’s brother commits suicide due to bullying, he loses faith in all things. The then slips into a dark place until a rumble that will call everything he has believed into question
I am interested to read an adult novel by Ellen Hopkins, I have only read her young adult books. This one is about the effects war has on relationships. Sorry for the vague synopsis wasn’t really sure how best to describe it.
I picked up the second book, Fire with Fire and the third book, Ashes to Ashes in the Burn for Burn trilogy I don’t want to read the synopsis on the back of these because I don’t want to get spoiled. All I can say is it is about three girls who come together to get revenge on people who have wronged them.
I came across this while I was browsing and thought I would probably enjoy it and was inexpensive so I added it to my cart. This pocket sized book contains 11 short stories about addicts and lost souls of the world.
I feel like I am going to have a Philippa Gregory book for each of my hauls until I manage to buy all her books. I don’t think I will get to this book any time soon but just happy to have it.

I have had this book on my want to read shelf on goodreads since Aug 2011. Happy I can now say I own it but let’s hope I get to it soon. This book Is about KIng Louis XIV of France. I admit I don’t really know much about the Sun KIng other than the movie The Man in the Iron Mask, which is probably not historically accurate but I did love the movie. So I am interested to read more about this Sun King.
This book is also about a French Monarch, this one being the infamous Marie Antoinette. I believe this is told from the perspective of Madame Agathe-Sidonie Laborde, who read books to Marie-Antoinette. She tells the story of July 14, 15, and 16 1789.
I’m not sure what compelled me to buy this but I did and now I will have to make time to read this behemoth of a book. I wasn’t even sure what it was about except that it won the Pulitzer prize.
The synopsis on goodreads tells me it is about Theo Decker survives an accident that kills his mother and when abandoned by his father, he is taken in by a wealthy family. He holds on to a painting that reminds him of his mother, which introduces him to the underground world of art.
Heather at heatherforever books on Youtube ravs about this book and I trust her opinion, so I decided I would pick this one up.
Set in futuristic London, the year is 2059. Paige is a clairvoyant, who uses this gift to gather information for her employer, Jaxon Hall. Paige is kidnapped and sent to Oxford, which has been kept secret for 200 years and is controlled by a powerful otherworldly race.
I already plan on reading some of these books next month and in future will have to up my reading game so I can keep my TBR pile down.
Hope you enjoyed the books I shared with you all today.
